Almost any meal can be made into a romantic dinner for two if it is spent sharing company with someone you love. Here is a wonderful plan for a delightful dinner that you and your loved one are sure to enjoy together.

Shrimp and Lemon Pasta

This is a wonderful seafood main dish for an amazing dinner.

You will need:
1 package of linguini
1 lb fresh shrimp, shell and tails removed and deveined
2-4 cloves garlic, minced
Juice from one lemon
Zest from one lemon, in long thin strips
1 tbsp olive oil

Start by cooking the pasta. When the pasta is cooked, drain and set aside, reserving some of the pasta water to use in case the pasta seems dry. As the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Sauté the garlic, about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the shrimp, cook lightly, until starting to turn color. Add the lemon zest and remove from heat. As the pasta drains, add the lemon juice to the shrimp and heat briefly. Toss the pasta into the skillet, with the shrimp. When thoroughly combined, serve with parmesan cheese on the side, a warm with crusty bread and a nice green salad.

Also make sure to have a lovely bottle of champagne to enjoy with your meal. You can make the classic champagne cocktail to enjoy through diner, or you can try one of the many other champagne cocktail recipes found in drinks books and online.

Chocolate Truffles

You will need:
6 oz. bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
1/3 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 tbsp butter, softened
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Unsweetened cocoa powder, for the coating

Start by bringing the cream to a boil. When it is hot pour the cream over the finely grated chocolate. Allow the chocolate and cream to melt together for about 1 - 2 minutes. Stir the chocolate and cream together, until completely smooth. Finish by stirring in the butter until it is fully mixed. Next place the chocolate mixture in the refrigerator to cool, chill for 2 - 3 hours.

When you remove the chocolate from the refrigerator, it should be firm. Using a teaspoon scoop out some of chocolate using a teaspoon. Roll the chocolate in your hands to form a ball. You can rub a tiny bit of cocoa powder on your hands to keep the chocolate from coating your hands. Finish by rolling each ball of chocolate in a plate lightly covered in cocoa powder. After you have finished forming the truffles you will want to chill than again for another few hours until they are firm again.
